Your message lineup
Go to Settings → Automated Messages. Each automatic message can be on or off, and together they cover the client’s whole arc:
Turn on what fits how you run. A quiet lineup (confirmation, reminder,
thank-you) already does most of the no-show fighting; the rest is
retention working in the background.
Edit booking request messages
The Booking requests group on the same page controls the text message, email subject, and email message clients receive when a request is received, approved, or declined. Edit the wording and it saves automatically. Use the shortcode picker to add client, business, appointment, service, stylist, and decline-reason details, or reset one message to its default. Booth renters can customize these messages for their own clients. Messages they have not customized continue to use the salon’s wording.Confirmations close the loop
The appointment reminder asks the client to confirm. When they do, the appointment flips to Confirmed on your calendar, and Sable texts them right back with the details of the visit: your business name, your address when you have one on file, and the day and time. Your morning glance at the day tells you who’s locked in versus who might need a follow-up. The statuses are covered in Create and manage appointments. When your team books someone as Unconfirmed, choose Email, Text, or Both for the confirmation link. Text is available only when the client has agreed to appointment texts and salon texting is active. If a choice is not available, Sable tells you why. You can add missing contact information or choose Skip and book when you need to finish without sending a link. The link opens a page with the services, stylist, date, time, and total. The client accepts any displayed terms, saves a card when one is required, pays a deposit when one is due, and confirms the appointment in one flow. Their appointment then changes to Confirmed and its reminders stay in sync. Open the appointment to see whether the link was sent or the client completed it. Resend link sends it again, and Copy link gives you the same link for another conversation. You can confirm the appointment by hand when the client says yes another way. Confirming by hand does not save a card or collect an unpaid deposit, so Sable keeps that amount visible in the appointment.Timing you don’t have to think about
Scheduled messages go out at respectful hours in your salon’s timezone. A reminder for tomorrow’s 7 AM appointment doesn’t wake anyone at 3 AM to do it. Time-sensitive messages triggered by a real action, like a cancellation you make at night for an early-morning appointment, still deliver right away, because the client genuinely needs to know before they drive over.Booth renters write their own
Booth renters run their own book, and their messages can sound like it. A renter who opens Settings → Automated Messages sees the salon’s lineup and can customize any message for their own clients: the wording, when it sends, and which channels it uses. A message they haven’t touched simply follows the salon’s version, and one tap resets a customized message back to it. Salon owners can always see what each renter has customized, right on the same page. You can make these changes through Jules in chat or voice. Ask to check the current settings, change a reminder’s wording or timing, or use the salon’s version again. Jules shows the changes and exact message for your approval. Personal changes apply to your own clients, and resetting a reminder restores the salon settings shown in the confirmation. Texts continue to respect each client’s consent and STOP opt-out. Owners and managers with reminder-setting access can also ask Jules to update the salon’s reminders, review link, rebook interval or unconfirmed appointment alert timing. Turning a salon reminder on applies to new bookings. Salon timing and channel changes apply to newly scheduled reminders. Existing reminder schedules stay in place, while updated wording appears in those messages too. Turning a salon reminder off cancels its pending messages.Getting the most from the lineup
- Set your rebook interval realistically. The rebook nudge is only as smart as the interval it’s based on: six weeks for cuts and twelve for color beats one number for everything.
- Birthdays need birthdays. The greeting only sends if the profile has a birthday; add them as you learn them.
- Watch your no-show rate after turning reminders on. That number moving is the whole point, and it’s in your reports.
