Tap the bell beside your profile photo on the Dashboard to open your notifications. The number on the bell and the Sable app icon shows unread notifications for your active business.

Read and clear notifications

Tap a notification to open the related conversation, appointment, form response, or other record. You can also mark a notification read in the notification list, or use Mark all read to clear the notifications already there. Opening the related conversation, appointment, form response, payment, payout, or product also clears its alerts after the content loads. New alerts that arrive while you are loading or clearing older ones stay unread. Opening the Dashboard alone leaves your unread notifications in place. Read status is shared with Sable on the web and your other signed-in devices. If your phone was offline, open Sable again to refresh its badge.

Choose your pushes

Open notification settings from the bell’s notification list. Choose pushes for messages, appointments, forms, booth rent, payments, payouts, inventory, and system updates. Turning off a category’s pushes keeps its updates in your notification list. Where your role allows it, choose Mine for your own work or Business for business updates. You only receive alerts for records you can access. A booth renter’s appointment alerts and rent reminders go to that renter. Private conversations and payment accounts keep their usual access rules. Payout alerts go only to the account holder: salon payouts to the owner, and a booth renter’s payouts to that renter. Admins do not receive someone else’s payout alerts. Settings apply to the business you are currently using. Appointment updates include online bookings and requests, confirmations, cancellations, and reschedules. The preview names the client and shows the appointment date and time in the business’s time zone. Rent alerts cover payments and items needing attention. Payment and payout alerts keep you informed about money received and payment problems. Low-stock alerts are checked each morning in your business’s time zone. A product at or below its threshold generates one alert; stock that stays low does not generate the same alert repeatedly.

Message recipients and previews

When a client replies, the staff member who most recently sent them a manual message receives the notification. Automated reminders do not change who gets the reply. If another staff member takes over the conversation, future alerts go to them and the previous staff member’s remaining alerts leave their inbox. Before anyone has replied, Sable notifies the client’s assigned stylist. If there is no available assigned stylist, staff who manage the shared inbox receive the alert. Turning off pushes does not pass your conversations to someone else. Shared inbox access stays the same. Client message pushes show the client’s name and message. Messages with only an attachment show an attachment description. Your iPhone’s notification preview settings control when the content appears on the Lock Screen. When you are already viewing the related content in Sable, it can update without another interrupting alert.

If pushes are missing

In iPhone or iPad Settings → Notifications → Sable, check Allow Notifications, the alert locations, and Badges. Also check whether Focus or Scheduled Summary is delaying alerts, and whether the category is enabled in Sable’s notification settings. Open Sable in the intended business to refresh your registration. A notification for another business asks you to switch businesses before opening its record. Still stuck?
