Open Messages and choose Enroll for Messaging to register your business for its own texting number. You can also open Business texting in Settings > Business. The business owner can complete setup. Automatic appointment texts work from day one, including booking confirmations, reminders, confirmation links, payment links, and receipts. Conversations in Messages turn on when your salon’s own number is ready.

Complete the missing information

Sable uses the business and contact details already on your account. Enter any missing registration information. Use Change if a saved detail needs a correction. Choose My business has an EIN or I’m a sole proprietor when asked. For an EIN, provide missing legal and tax details. Your saved EIN stays visible so you can review or edit it. Sole proprietors provide a US or Canadian mobile number they control; it receives our verification text. Your progress saves as you go. Return to Continue setup to pick up where you left off.

Confirm and submit

Check the required confirmations. For standard accounts, the billing card shows how business texting fits your Stylist or Salon plan. Business texting is included at no extra fee. During a free trial, you will see the trial end date, your regular monthly plan price and Due today: $0. On the web, choose Add card. In the iPhone and iPad apps, choose Add card on the web. Sable opens the enrollment page in your browser, where you add the card for your monthly Sable plan. Return to the app and it checks your billing again so you can submit. You will not be charged that day, and your free trial stays in place until the date shown. If your plan is already active, the same card is used for its regular monthly billing. Accounts with complimentary access continue without a card. If the billing check cannot finish, choose Try again; your progress stays saved. Then choose Submit registration. You can set a preferred area code. If that area code is unavailable, Sable assigns a nearby one. Sable prepares and hosts the messaging privacy, terms and permission pages for your business. After submission, they are available at your business’s /policies/sms-privacy, /policies/sms-terms and /policies/sms-consent pages. They show the submitted business identity and prepared wording, without your tax number, personal contact details or client records.

Follow your registration

After submission, Messages shows your progress through business verification, message approval, and number assignment. Review usually takes a few business days. You can leave and return to the status screen. If you registered as a sole proprietor, reply YES to our verification text. You do not enter a code in Sable. Send again requests another text when the resend wait has ended; arrival can take a few minutes. Use Change if the verification text needs to go to a different mobile number, then review the updated details and confirmations before resubmitting. If a correction is needed, open the status screen, update the requested detail, and review the application again before resubmitting. When the number is ready, choose Open Messages or Copy number.

How clients give permission

Clients choose appointment texts and marketing texts separately when booking. Both checkboxes start unchecked, and clients can book without choosing either. A client-completed form can collect permission for appointment and customer-care texts. Staff can record permission a client has already given in person, by phone, or on paper. Forms and staff confirmations do not grant marketing permission. Your public permission page shows fictional examples of all three paths. Its checkboxes cannot be changed, and opening it does not create a client, booking, or consent record. Clients can reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. See SMS consent and conversations for day-to-day texting and conversation access. Still stuck? Visit the Help Center to submit a support ticket.
