What to ask
In web or iOS chat, attach your CSV, Excel XLSX, or PDF files and ask Jules to import products, inventory, or services. She tells you what she found, asks her questions in the chat with the answers as buttons, and opens the full list from View list. Stock updates ask whether the file replaces or adds to what you have. One approval saves the validated rows; anything unresolved stays out. See Import products and services for limits, review choices, and import history. In chat, Jules can look up your salon’s records and carry out tasks in the same conversation, with confirmation before changes. Jules is at its best on questions you’d otherwise answer by clicking through three screens:- “How’s revenue this month?”
- “Any cancellations today?”
- “Look up a client” and everything about their history
- “When is Sophia’s next appointment?”
Team access
Owners and managers can ask Jules to review the team roster, built-in roles and pending invitations. In chat, Jules can cancel an invitation, change a teammate’s role, and update bookability, rented working days, booking handles or who can book online. These changes need a tap on Approve in chat. The card names the teammate or invitee and shows the exact changes. Jules checks those details again before saving and follows your team permissions. Changes to your own role or an owner’s role belong in Settings > Team. Ask Jules about your money in chat or by voice:- Check a payment’s status, amount and refunds.
- Find transactions by date, status, amount or client, and invoices by date or status.
- Read an invoice’s line items, payments, totals and due date.
- Check available and pending balances, recent balance activity and payouts.
- Review payment disputes and evidence deadlines.
- Check your Sable plan and subscription invoices.
Search, imports and Google Calendar
Ask Jules to find a name across clients, appointments, products and services at once. Results follow the same access as search in the Sable app, so booth renters see their own clients, products and services. While you review a client list you attached, Jules can check its rows, duplicates and the clients already in Sable. In chat, it can then add the new clients to your client list. The approval card shows the file, the number of rows, any rows that can’t be imported and how many clients are already in Sable. Replace mode, duplicate merges and texting permission for imported clients are set in the import screen. Booth renters work with the imports they started. Their card counts the clients already theirs apart from the ones the salon already has; the owner assigns those. Jules can check your Google Calendar sync and sync it now. In chat, it can also disconnect it; before you approve, it shows the Google account and whether the Sable calendar in Google is kept or deleted. Owners and managers can see each teammate’s calendar status. Connecting a calendar happens in Integrations. On the Salon plan, ask Jules to clock you in or out in chat or voice, or review your time entries. Clocking in and out happens right away and always uses your own time clock. Stylists can check their own commission plan and earnings; owners and managers can review the team’s commissions. Commissions are recorded from each completed payment and updated by item refunds, without an approval queue. On the web, use Team → Members → Pay to set commission rates and tiers, and Team → Payroll to review statements and mark a pay period paid.Salon Mode
Owners and managers can ask Jules about Salon Mode: the lock time, each shared device and its recent activity, and which teammates have set a PIN. In chat, Jules renames a device, and after texting a code to your verified phone it changes the lock time, restores or revokes a device, or clears a teammate’s PIN so they choose a new one. The card names the device or teammate and shows the change before you tap Approve. Deactivating Salon Mode on the shared device itself happens in its Settings → Salon Mode, and PIN resets happen from your own phone or computer.Booth rent
Ask Jules about booth rent: owners and managers can review agreements and payments or create an agreement and mark rent paid in cash, by check or elsewhere, while renters can check and pay their own rent or change autopay. New agreements, rent payments, rent marked paid and autopay changes need a tap on Approve in chat. The card shows the agreement terms or the renter, period and exact amount, and Jules checks the details again before acting. When a card needs your bank’s confirmation, nothing is charged and you pay from Rent in the Sable app.Attach a file
In web chat, use Add files, drag files anywhere into the Jules chat window, or paste an image from your clipboard. Each file appears as a chip in the composer while it uploads; remove one with its x. Add your question and press Send. Sending without a question asks Jules to review the file. Jules accepts PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, Markdown, JSON, HTML and XML documents, and JPG/JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF and SVG images. SVG images are converted to a still image for review; animated images use their first frame. Each file can be up to 15 MB for reference questions. Attach one reference file at a time in text chat. For documents with more than 100,000 characters or presentations with more than 200 slides, attach a shorter excerpt. A spreadsheet attached on its own opens the client import review. Several files, or a spreadsheet with a PDF, become one products and services import: up to five CSV, XLSX, or PDF files of 1 GB each, saved only after your approval. See Import products and services. You can ask follow-up questions about the latest reference image or document in the same chat. A new attachment replaces the file available for follow-up questions.Voice
When your hands are foiling, talk instead. Tap the voice button in Jules, in the Sable app on iPhone and iPad or on the web, and ask the way you would ask a front-desk teammate: “do I have anything at four?” Jules listens while it talks, so you can cut in or change your mind mid-sentence. For an action that needs confirmation by voice, Jules says exactly what will happen and asks first. For a text to a client, it tells you who it’s going to and reads the message word for word. Say “yes” and it’s sent, or tell Jules what to change. If the recipient or message differs from the draft you approved, Jules asks you to review a confirmation card before acting. You can ask Jules for the same things by voice as in chat. An action that needs a tap on Approve, such as a payment, refund, payout or team change, still needs that tap when you ask by voice: Jules tells you what the card will do, and a spoken “yes” leaves it waiting for you. A texted code is typed, not spoken.Talk to Jules from an appointment
On iPhone and iPad, Jules is in the bottom bar of an appointment that is in progress, and on that appointment’s products screen. Tap her orb and a small panel rises over the screen, so you keep the appointment in view while you talk.- The panel shows what Jules is doing (listening, thinking, speaking), the words she is hearing from you, and her answer.
- She starts with the visit in front of you: the client, the services, the products recorded so far, the notes you can see and the client’s last completed visit. She is the same Jules as everywhere else, so you can also ask about tomorrow’s schedule or anything else from here.
- When she records products, the panel lists exactly what was written: the bowl, each product from your inventory, the amount and the price. Say “add a new bowl with 10 grams of 9N and 20 grams of 20 vol” and you see one bowl with both rows.
- Tap undo under a result to take back what it added, or change back to return an amount to what it was. If the row has changed since, Jules leaves it alone and tells you.
- Removing a product or a bowl always asks first. Tap confirm or keep, or answer out loud.
- A card that needs a tap, such as taking a payment, appears in the panel with approve and deny.
- The screen behind the panel updates as her changes land.
- Tap the microphone to mute, and the red button (or swipe the panel down) to end. The conversation is saved with your other Jules conversations.
Confirmations: Jules asks before it acts
When a client has an allergy or sensitivity on file, Jules points it out first and still prepares what you asked for, so you make the call. Jules answers questions, adds allergies, and saves allergy notes and routine formula edits directly. In chat, Jules also saves increases in allergy severity directly. Renaming an allergy or lowering its severity requires your confirmation. In voice, Jules asks before every allergy name or severity edit. Before profile edits, archiving or restoring a client, adding clients in bulk, saving a chat photo, removing an allergy, or recording texting permission, Jules shows what will change and waits for your approval. Booking and sending messages also require confirmation. In chat, Jules explains what it prepared before showing the approval card. For a client text, it reads back the draft and asks whether to send it. You can tap Approve or reply “yes” immediately after Jules proposes the action. Jules uses the details on that card, including the exact text you reviewed. When a card needs a tap, a “yes” leaves it waiting and Jules tells you so. Jules tells you something is done only once it has happened. Approve and it happens. Deny and it doesn’t. A confirmation you ignore simply expires, which means silence never turns into an appointment on your calendar. Jules follows your account’s permissions for every lookup and change. Commission changes and team access changes always wait for your approval card in chat.Getting good answers
- Ask in plain words; “who hasn’t rebooked since June” beats trying to speak database.
- Give it the client’s name the way you know it; it can find the rest.
- If an answer needs checking, the source is always one click away: the same calendar, client, and report screens this whole guide covers.
