First, the shared foundation
Work through the solo setup for the business itself: business details in Settings, the service menu in Services, and your booking page. For a team, add one habit: when you create services, think about who performs them. Service assignments decide what clients can book with each stylist.Understand roles before adding people
Everyone in your workspace has a role, and the role decides what they can see and do:
Custom roles exist too, for salons that divide responsibility differently.
If the team shares a computer or iPad at the desk, set up
Salon Mode. Each person uses their own PIN, and the
shared device opens with that person’s role instead of staying signed in as an
owner or manager.
Your team lives in Team
On the web, open Team → Members for the roster, role and booking settings, pay setup, and booth rent. Team → Payroll has Pay period, Timesheets, and Settings tabs on the Salon plan. Employees who can read their own pay have My pay in the sidebar. Open a person’s pencil, then Pay, to set service, retail, and extension commission percentages or tier plans, and an optional dated hourly rate. Booth renters do not use employee pay setup. The sidebar clock records punches; working schedules continue to control booking availability. The detailed pay and rent workflows are in Commissions, time, rent, and payroll. Add team members from Team → Members: select Add team member, pick their role, enter their name, mobile number, and email, optionally set their commission percentages and hourly pay, and select Add and invite. They’re on the calendar and bookable right away, so you can set their hours and book their clients straight away. Each person then follows the email link, signs in without a password, and verifies their mobile number if needed to take their place with the role you chose. Bookability and working hours live behind the pencil on their row. Adding a booth renter goes a step further and sets up the whole arrangement at once: the days they rent the chair, and the rent amount and frequency, which start the moment they accept. The full flow, including how teammates who haven’t joined yet appear in the roster, is in Roles and permissions.During beta we’ll also happily set your team up with you as part of onboarding, so have your
roster and roles ready either way.
Decide what clients can book online
With multiple stylists, your booking page does more work: clients pick a service and a time, and the times on offer come from your team’s schedules and service assignments. Before you publish, check that each stylist’s bookable services and hours look right, then follow Publish your online booking page. You’re done when
- Every person on your team appears in Team with the right role
- Booth renters are marked as booth renters, with rent agreements in place
- Pay setup in Team → Members match what you actually pay
- A test booking for a specific stylist lands on that stylist’s calendar
- Every shared front-desk device uses Salon Mode, and each teammate has their own PIN
